Haim Saban Business Career
The Lions of Judah (Ha’arayot), a rock band named after the Lion of Judah in Jewish Scripture, was where Saban began his musical career in 1966 as a bass player and manager. Dave Watts from the British group The Tornados joined The Lions in 1969. The band visited England that year and played in London nightclubs before being signed by Polydor Records.

Nearly $47 million of Haim and Cheryl’s donations went to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, while $11 million went to the Saban Free Clinic (formerly known as the Los Angeles Free Clinic). The Saban Centre for Middle East Policy was founded in Washington, D.C., thanks to a $13 million grant from Saban in 2002.
